July 10 (Bloomberg) -- A unit of Marubeni Corp. will build a 175-kilowatt hydropower station in Fukushima prefecture.
The plant will be operated by Mibugawa Electric Power Co., a wholly owned unit of the Japanese trading company, and will start running in April, Marubeni said in a statement today.
The project will be Mibugawa’s eighth small hydropower plant in Japan. The company plans to develop about 30 hydropower stations by 2020, according to the statement.
