June 30 (Bloomberg) -- Hart Davis Hart Wine Co. boosted its wine auction sales to $24.7 million in the first half of this year, up 24 percent from a year earlier, the Chicago-based house said in an e-mailed statement.
A two-day wine auction ended June 28 totaled $8 million, including $1.1 million from more than 400 lots of red Burgundy and a further $1.1 million from more than 100 lots of Chateau Lafite Rothschild, the company said. Bordeaux wine from the 1990s was also in demand, the auction house said.
Prominent wine lots in this month’s sale included two magnums of Chateau Latour 1961 Bordeaux, which fetched $23,900.
