Quarterback Johnny Manziel reached agreement on his rookie contract with the Cleveland Browns, about six weeks after becoming the 22nd player selected in the National Football League draft.

Manziel, the 2012 Heisman Trophy winner as the best player in college football, is the fourth of six Browns draft picks to agree to terms, the team said in a news release without disclosing financial details. The NFL’s rookie wage scale projects the contract to be worth $8.25 million over four years, according to ESPN.

Nicknamed “Johnny Football,” 21-year-old Manziel was the second quarterback taken in the draft behind Blake Bortles, who went third overall to the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Backed by the marketing team behind four-time National Basketball Association Most Valuable Player LeBron James, Manziel has endorsement deals with companies including McDonald’s Corp., the world’s largest restaurant chain; Nike Inc., the world’s biggest sporting goods maker; and Panini America Inc., the global leader in officially licensed sports and entertainment collectibles.

Manziel threw for 7,820 yards with 63 touchdowns and 22 interceptions in two seasons at Texas A&M. He added 2,160 rushing yards and ran for 30 scores.
