June 5 (Bloomberg) -- Maria Sharapova of Russia, the 2012 French Open champion, won the second set of her semifinal at tennis’s Roland Garros against Eugenie Bouchard to level the match at 1-set all.
Sharapova took the set 7-5 after Bouchard, a 20-year-old Canadian, won the opener 6-4. Bouchard is the 18th seed at the tennis Grand Slam.
The other finalist will be decided when Simona Halep of Romania takes on Germany’s Andrea Petkovic later today.
