June 4 (Bloomberg) -- SunPower Corp., the second-largest U.S. solar manufacturer, agreed to build a 19-megawatt solar power project at Nellis Air Force Base in southern Nevada, expanding on a plant it installed in 2007.

The plant will be built next year for NV Energy Inc., a unit of Warren Buffett’s Berkshire Hathaway Inc., and is contingent upon regulator approval, San Jose, California-based SunPower said today in a statement. Terms weren’t disclosed.

SunPower said it took about nine months to build the 14-megawatt project at the base in 2007, and it can now install more than one megawatt a day,

First Solar Inc. is the largest U.S. solar manufacturer.
