June 2 (Bloomberg) -- Tata Power Co., the utility unit of India’s biggest industrial group, has completed a 25-megawatt solar farm in India.
The 2.5 billion-rupee ($42 million) project, funded by a loan from IDFC Ltd., raises the company’s photovoltaic capacity to 56 megawatts, according to an e-mailed statement today.
The farm is located in Palaswadi village, Satara district in western Maharashtra state, about 250 kilometers (155 miles) south of Mumbai.
