May 31 (Bloomberg) -- Eight-time French Open champion Rafael Nadal beat Argentina’s Leonardo Mayer, 6-2, 7-5, 6-2 to move to the fourth round of Roland Garros in Paris.

Spain’s Nadal last lost a match on the Parisian clay in 2009. He’s trying to become the first man since tennis turned professional in 1968 to win the French Open five times in a row.
