Blackhawks Top Kings in Los Angeles, Stay Alive in NHL Playoffs

May 31 (Bloomberg) -- The defending champion Chicago Blackhawks avoided elimination in their National Hockey League playoff series against the Los Angeles Kings, winning 4-3 last night to force a decisive Game 7 tomorrow night in Chicago.

The winner of the Western Conference finals will advance to a Stanley Cup Finals showdown with the New York Rangers.

Patrick Kane scored his second goal of the game to break a 3-3 tie with three minutes, 45 seconds left in the third period.

“It’s one game, do or die, to go to the Stanley Cup Finals,” Kane said in a televised interview.
