Blackhawks Top Kings in Los Angeles, Stay Alive in NHL Playoffs

The defending champion Chicago Blackhawks avoided elimination in their National Hockey League playoff series against the Los Angeles Kings, winning 4-3 last night to force a decisive Game 7 tomorrow night in Chicago.

The winner of the Western Conference finals will advance to a Stanley Cup Finals showdown with the New York Rangers.

Patrick Kane scored his second goal of the game to break a 3-3 tie with three minutes, 45 seconds left in the third period.

“It’s one game, do or die, to go to the Stanley Cup Finals,” Kane said in a televised interview.
