May 14 (Bloomberg) -- Welspun Energy Ltd., India’s biggest solar developer, has completed a 19-megawatt plant in Karnataka state in the country’s south.
The project in Chitradurga district will sell its power to state-run Mangalore Electric Supply Co., Welspun said in an e-mailed statement today. The plant will generate enough power annually for 48,000 homes for the next 25 years, Welspun said.
The plant raises Welspun’s operational capacity to 328 megawatts.
