May 7 (Bloomberg) -- American Water Works Co., the largest publicly traded water utility in the U.S., posted a first-quarter gain in operating revenue of 7.2 percent on increased consumption and sales to the military.
Operating revenue was $681.9 million, the Voorhees, New Jersey-based utility said today in a statement. Net income for the quarter increased 18 percent to $68.1 million.
