General Motors may be grappling with the recall of 2.6 million old vehicles, but that hasn’t translated into problems moving new ones from dealership lots. The company said on Thursday that it sold 254,000 cars and trucks in the U.S. during March, a 6.9 percent increase over the year-earlier period. Chrysler Fiat, meanwhile, posted an even stronger 14 percent gain last month over April 2013, while Ford sales fell slightly, fleetwide.
