April 29 (Bloomberg) -- Golf analyst Notah Begay III, a former teammate of Tiger Woods’s at Stanford University, is recovering from a heart attack and will remain off the air indefinitely, the Golf Channel said.
Begay, 41, had a stent placed in his right coronary artery to relieve a blockage during a procedure in Dallas on April 24, the Comcast Corp. network said in a statement.
“I anticipate a full recovery and feel lucky to be at home resting with my family,” Begay said.
Begay, who won four times on the U.S. PGA Tour, has a family history of heart disease, the Golf Channel said. He last played fulltime on the world’s top golf circuit in 2009.
