April 28 (Bloomberg) -- The National Basketball Association will make an announcement tomorrow about its investigation involving racist remarks attributed to Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling, the league said in a press release.
NBA spokesman Mike Bass said in the statement “additional details will be announced.” He wasn’t specific.
The NBA three days ago pledged to investigate “extraordinarily quickly” a recording on which, according to website TMZ, Sterling told his girlfriend he didn’t want her to bring black people to his games after she posted a photo of herself with Hall-of-Famer Magic Johnson on Instagram.
Johnson has said Sterling should be forced to sell the team. Among those who have lambasted Sterling are President Barack Obama, Charlotte Bobcats owner Michael Jordan and Lakers All-Star Kobe Bryant.
