The NASDAQ Composite Index has fallen 7.2 percent from its high on March 6, recording its worst 30-day performance since November 2012. Nearly three-quarters of the 2,500 components in the index were down for the period. Former momentum darlings of social media and biotechnology were hit hardest.

Tuesday's intraday low coincided with the 200-day moving average. Technical strategist Chris Verrone of Strategas Research Partners argues returning to the mean is a healthy, if not somewhat painful, inevitability. It also provides bulls an opportunity to buy the proverbial dip -- though this particular dip may strike some as more than merely proverbial.

So today we're searching for value amid the rubble. We're looking for companies whose stocks have fallen at least 20 percent, even as sales are forecast to rise 20 percent. In addition, we considered only those companies where analysts have raised estimates.

Twenty-three companies made the cut, three of which we shared on-air. (The full list is below.) In many cases, these are "story stocks" with some hair: e.g. Netflix Inc. faces potential competition from a rumored Apple-Comcast partnership; FireEye Inc. just issued a secondary valued at $1.1 billion following a fourfold stock rise; Rocket Fuel Inc. (need we say more) may be suffering from digital overload. By the same token, each company is growing dramatically and analysts are positive.

Chris makes clear in his note he does not believe the market has bottomed definitively. He also recognizes certain groups and stocks have become deeply oversold. We agree, and we provide today's shopping list as a place to start looking for value:

Ambarella, Inc. (AMBA ), Astronics Corporation (ATRO ), Baxano Surgical, Inc. (BAXS ), BioTelemetry, Inc. (BEAT ), Dealertrack Technologies Inc (TRAK ), Discovery Laboratories, Inc. (DSCO ), Epizyme, Inc. (EPZM ), FireEye Inc. (FEYE ), Fluidigm Corporation (FLDM ), Gevo Inc. (GEVO ), iCAD, Inc. (ICAD ), Ironwood Pharmaceuticals (IRWD ), Liberty Ventures (LVNTA ), Momenta Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (MNTA ), NanoString Technologies, Inc. (NSTG ), Netflix Inc. (NFLX ), OncoMed Pharmaceuticals Inc. (OMED ), Rentrak Corporation (RENT ), Rocket Fuel Inc. (FUEL ), Sangamo BioSciences, Inc. (SGMO ), Sunshine Heart Inc. (SSH ), Veracyte, Inc. (VCYT), Xoom Corporation (VCYT ).
