Suez Subsidiary Wins Edmonton Waste Recycling Facility Contract

April 9 (Bloomberg) -- Suez Environnement, Europe’s second-largest water company, said its Sena waste services subsidiary was awarded a five-year contract by Edmonton to operate and maintain a city facility capable of processing 55,000 tons of co-mingled recycled materials a year.

The contract will be worth as much as $45 million, Suez said today in a statement. Suez supplies drinking water to 92 million people a day, wastewater-treatment services for 65 million and collects the waste produced by 52 million people.
