Skanska to Build $98 Million Wastewater Plant for Mine in Peru

April 7 (Bloomberg) -- Skanska AB, the Swedish construction company, won a contract to build a 640 million Kronor ($98 million) wastewater treatment plant for a mining company in Peru.

The treated water will be used in mining operations, avoiding the use of fresh river water, Stockholm-based Skanska said in a statement on its website. Construction has already begun, and the project is expected to start working in the third-quarter of 2015, it said. The name of the client wasn’t disclosed.
