April 1 (Bloomberg) -- Regional top seeds the University of Connecticut and the University of Notre Dame reached the Final Four of the women’s national college basketball tournament with victories last night.

Kaleena Mosqueda-Lewis had 17 points and seven rebounds to lead undefeated Connecticut (38-0) to a 69-54 defeat of Texas A&M as the Huskies reached the semifinals of the National Collegiate Athletic Association tournament for the seventh straight season.

Connecticut, the defending national champion, has won 44 straight games and next will play either Stanford or North Carolina, who play tonight for a spot in the Final Four.

Notre Dame, which also is undefeated, got 30 points from Jewell Loyd in an 88-69 defeat of Baylor to ensure their fourth straight trip to the national semifinals. The Fighting Irish (36-0) will play either Louisville or Maryland for a spot in the championship game.
