March 26 (Bloomberg) -- UBS AG, Switzerland’s biggest bank, hired Matthew Small to help manage the company’s compensation programs, head of human resources John Bradley said in a memorandum to staff.
Small will move from New York to join Zurich-based UBS, where he will be on the human resources executive committee, said in the memo, dated March 14 and confirmed by a company spokesman. He will start his new role as head of reward on April 1, as a managing director reporting to Bradley.
“We are excited to welcome Matt to the firm and look forward to benefiting from his extensive experience in reward and across HR,” Bradley said in the memo.
Small previously spent 14 years at JPMorgan Chase & Co., where he held positions related to remuneration in London, Singapore and New York, the memo said. He was hired to replace human resources chief operating officer Alan Himmer, who served as interim head of reward, UBS said.
