March 21 (Bloomberg) -- Manulife Financial Corp., Canada’s largest life insurer, awarded Chief Executive Officer Donald Guloien C$12.8 million ($11.4 million) in total compensation for 2013 as the firm bolstered profit.
Guloien’s pay is 22 percent more than 2012, when the 56-year-old CEO was awarded C$10.4 million, the Toronto-based firm said today in a filing with Canadian regulators. Manulife reported 2013 profit of C$3.1 billion, up from C$1.8 billion a year earlier.
