March 19 (Bloomberg) -- Orix Corp. and JFE Holdings Inc.’s engineering unit started building a 13.5-megawatt solar power station in Tochigi prefecture, north of Tokyo.
Electricity from the plant, which is scheduled to start running in April 2015, will be sold to Tokyo Electric Power Co., the companies said in a statement today.
Orix, a Tokyo-based finance and leasing company, is in charge of asset management, while JFE Engineering Corp. designs and constructs the plant, according to the statement.
