Pistorius Prosecutors Say He Was on Stumps When he Shot: ENCA

Feb. 20 (Bloomberg) -- South African paralympian gold medallist Oscar Pistorius was most likely on his stumps when he shot his model girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp dead, ENCA television channel reported, citing state prosecution documents.

The revelation may weaken the state’s case as it had earlier claimed that he put on his prosthetic legs before firing through a bathroom door on Valentine’s Day last year, the television channel said. Steenkamp was clothed in a pair of Pistorius’s shorts and a t-shirt, the Johannesburg-based news channel said.

Pistorius is due to be tried for murder on March 3.
