Feb. 6 (Bloomberg) -- Preston Hollow Capital LLC, a Dallas-based investment firm that began operations last month with more than $100 million in capital, hired two former Orix USA Corp. executives as it builds its management team.
Mike Cousins joined as chief financial officer and Cliff Weiner was named managing director, Preston Hollow Capital said in a statement today. Their recruitment reunites them with Chief Executive Officer Jim Thompson, who was CEO of Orix USA, a unit of Tokyo-based finance and leasing firm Orix Corp., for 22 years before leaving to found Preston Hollow Capital.
Preston Hollow Capital employs investments strategies including fixed income, private equity, venture capital and alternative investing, according to the statement.
Weiner worked at Orix USA for 17 years and Cousins served as CFO of the Dallas-based firm since 1999, the statement shows. Both led deals including the company’s 2006 purchase of Houlihan Lokey Howard & Zukin, a merger and acquisition adviser.
