Feb. 3 (Bloomberg) -- Syracuse University was unanimously voted the top team in the Associated Press Top 25 weekly college basketball poll after raising its record to 21-0 for the first time in school history.
The Orange, who beat Duke 91-89 in overtime two days ago, received all 65 No. 1 votes to surpass Arizona (21-1), which fell to No. 2 with a 60-58 loss at California.
The rest of the top five was unchanged as Florida ranked third, Wichita State fourth and San Diego State fifth. Villanova jumped three spots to No. 6, followed by Cincinnati, Kansas, Michigan State and Michigan.
Duke climbed six spots to No. 11 with a win at Pittsburgh and the close loss at Syracuse. Oklahoma State had the biggest fall, dropping to 19th from No. 8 following defeats at Oklahoma and at home against Baylor.
