Sasol to Help Clear Toxic Spill in River Near Kruger, Times Says

Jan. 26 (Bloomberg) -- Sasol Ltd., the world’s largest maker of motor fuel from coal, will help to clean up a toxic spill in a river flowing through South Africa’s Kruger National Park, the Johannesburg-based newspaper Sunday Times reported.

The spillage happened when an impoundment dam of Bosveld Phosphates, previously owned by Sasol, overflowed into the river. The company asked Sasol to help with the clean-up as Sasol has the technical knowledge, Brian Gibson of the fertilizer maker was cited as saying.
