Dec. 25 (Bloomberg) -- The Denver Broncos placed linebacker Von Miller on injured reserve with a torn right knee ligament, meaning the two-time All Pro will miss the rest of the National Football League season.
Miller, 24, who was selected as an All Pro in each of the previous two seasons, was injured three days ago in a 37-13 win against the Houston Texans. Miller, who had 34 total tackles and five sacks this season, was placed on injured reserve yesterday.
The Broncos (12-3), who already have clinched the American Football Conference West division title, went 6-0 while Miller missed the first six games of the season for violating the league’s drug policy.
Denver finishes its regular season Dec. 29 at the Oakland Raiders.
