Dec. 16 (Bloomberg) -- Kyocera Corp. plans to build an 8.3 megawatt solar power station in western Japan with Century Tokyo Leasing Corp.
A joint venture between the two companies will be in charge of running the plant, according to statement by Kyocera, the venture and Shiga prefecture, where the plant will be built.
The group plans to start construction in August and begin operations in September 2015, according to the statement. Century Tokyo Leasing has an 81 percent stake in the venture, set up in August 2012, and Kyocera holds the rest.
