Dec. 2 (Bloomberg) -- Texas A&M University football coach Kevin Sumlin reached agreement on a six-year contract with the school.
Sumlin, 49, is in his second year at the College Station, Texas-based school and has compiled a 19-6 record.
“We have only just begun to lay the foundation for sustained long term success at Texas A&M,” Sumlin said in a statement.
He had been a candidate for the heading coaching position at the University of Southern California that is being filled on an interim basis by Ed Orgeron, the Los Angeles Times reported.
