Nov. 16 (Bloomberg) -- England and Australia won easily to advance to the semifinals of the Rugby League World Cup.

Australia routed the U.S. 62-0 in today’s first quarterfinal game in Wrexham, Wales, while tournament co-host England beat France 28-6 in Wigan.

England will meet defending champion New Zealand, which beat Scotland 40-4 last night, in the final four, while Australia faces the winner of tomorrow’s quarterfinal between Samoa and Fiji.

The semifinals will be played Nov. 23 at Wembley Stadium in London, with the winners advancing to the final at Manchester’s Old Trafford on Nov. 30.
