Nov. 12 (Bloomberg) -- Bank of Montreal, Canada’s fourth-biggest lender by assets, hired Sachem Street Capital Advisors LLC’s John Putrino as a managing director for U.S. real estate investment banking for BMO Capital Markets.
Putrino will be based in Washington, the firm said today in an e-mailed statement. Putrino has more than 18 years industry experience, including as founder and chief executive officer of Sachem Street and as head of North American lodging and leisure investment banking at Credit Suisse Group AG.
BMO has been active in North American real estate for more than a decade, with Mark Decker leading the group since 2011, said Martha McInnis, a spokeswoman for the firm.
BMO also hired Joel Fishbein as a senior analyst covering software companies for the technology, telecommunications and media-equity research group, according to a separate e-mail. Fishbein, who was previously with Lazard Capital Markets LLC, starts Nov. 18 in New York and will report to Christine Farkas, director of U.S. equity research, the firm said.
