Nov. 5 (Bloomberg) -- A 275-bedroom hotel on the edge of the City of London financial district to be built by Hong Kong-based developer Dorsett Hospitality International Ltd. won local-government approval.
City of London officials granted planning permission for the hotel at a meeting today. The project includes the demolition of an existing 1970s office building and the construction of the 13-story hotel, according to a filing.
Dorsett is a unit of Far East Consortium International Ltd. The City of London hotel is one of two properties Dorsett is developing in the U.K., according to the company’s website.
