Oct. 21 (Bloomberg) -- Tata Power Solar Systems Ltd., a unit of India’s biggest industrial group, completed a 10-megawatt photovoltaic plant for Jindal Aluminium Ltd.
Jindal Aluminium will sell power from the project at 8.25 rupees a kilowatt-hour to Bangalore Electricity Supply Co. under a 25-year contract, Tata Power Solar said today in an e-mailed statement.
The 52-acre solar farm is located at Chitradurga, Karnataka state. Tata Power Solar, formerly known as Tata BP Solar Ltd., makes panels in Bangalore and has built more than 70 megawatts of projects as a contractor, according to the statement.
