Gasquet, Halep Win Kremlin Cup Tennis Titles; Ferrer Upset

Oct. 20 (Bloomberg) -- Richard Gasquet of France recovered to defeat Kazakh qualifier Mikhail Kukushkin in the Kremlin Cup tennis final today. World No. 3 David Ferrer was upset by Grigor Dimitrov in the final of the Stockholm Open.

World No. 10 Gasquet, the top seed, won 4-6, 6-4, 6-4 in a match lasting almost 2 1/2 hours. Romania’s Simona Halep, the fifth seed, won the women’s event, defeating seventh-seed Samantha Stosur of Australia 7-6 (7-1), 6-2.

Bulgaria’s Dimitrov, ranked 28th in the world, defeated Spain’s Ferrer 2-6, 6-3, 6-4 for his first ATP Tour title.

Germany’s Tommy Haas beat Robin Haase of the Netherlands 6-3, 4-6, 6-4 in the Erste Bank Open final in Vienna. He also won the competition 12 years ago.

Denmark’s Caroline Wozniacki, the top seed, beat unseeded Annika Beck of Germany 6-2, 6-2 in the Luxembourg Open final.
