Oct. 18 (Bloomberg) -- Bank of America Corp.’s investment bank named Kevin Morrison head of the financial sponsors group for the Americas, which provides advice to buyout firms, according to an internal memo obtained by Bloomberg News.
Mark Kennelley was named vice chairman of the global financial sponsors group, according to the memo, whose contents were confirmed by John Yiannacopoulos, a spokesman for the Charlotte, North Carolina-based bank. The memo was sent to employees from Karim Assef, head of global investment banking coverage.
Morrison, who will be based in San Francisco, rejoined Bank of America in 2007, according to the memo. He previously led the West Coast financial sponsors team. Kennelley, who joined Bank of America in 2001, will continue to be based in New York. He was formerly a managing director in the Americas group.
Rob Firth will continue as head of EMEA, or emerging markets, the Middle East and Africa, the memo shows, and Chris Gammons as head of the group for Asia Pacific and head of Southeast Asia investment banking.
