Oct. 9 (Bloomberg) -- West Texas Intermediate declined in early trading on the New York Mercantile Exchange.
WTI for November delivery fell 54 cents, or 0.5 percent, to $102.95 a barrel at 9:08 a.m. on the New York Mercantile Exchange. The volume of all futures traded was 49 percent below the 100-day average for the time of day.
Brent for November settlement was 50 cents lower at $109.66 a barrel on the London-based ICE Futures Europe exchange. The European benchmark was at a premium of $6.71 to WTI versus $6.67 yesterday.
