Oct. 3 (Bloomberg) -- Columbia University reported an 11.5 percent return on its investments in the 12 months ended in June, up from a 2.3 percent gain a year earlier.
The endowment’s value grew to $8.2 billion, the New York-based Ivy League school, said today in a statement. Foundations and endowments had a one-year median return of 11.28 percent in the most recent fiscal year, up from an increase of 0.38 percent in the prior year, Wilshire Associates said in an Aug. 6 report.
