Oct. 2 (Bloomberg) -- Bayern Munich beat Manchester City 3-1 in soccer’s Champions League, as Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain won easily at home.
Franck Ribery, Thomas Mueller and Arjen Robben scored for defending champion Bayern Munich. Cristiano Ronaldo and Angel Di Maria scored twice each to give Real Madrid a 4-0 win over Copenhagen, while two goals from Zlatan Ibrahimovic helped PSG beat Benfica 3-0.
Manchester United drew 1-1 at Shaktar Donetsk, Bayer Leverkusen beat Real Sociedad 2-1, Juventus drew 2-2 with Galatasaray, Olympiacos won 3-0 at Anderlecht and CSKA Moscow beat Viktoria Plzen 3-2 in the other games in Europe’s elite club competition.
