Sept. 22 (Bloomberg) -- Henrik Stenson won golf’s season-ending Tour Championship, earning the Swede a $10 million bonus for topping the FedEx Cup standings after the U.S. PGA Tour’s four playoff events.
Stenson finished the tournament at East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta with a four-round total of 13-under-par 267 for a three-shot win over Jordan Spieth and Steve Stricker.
In addition to the bonus, Stenson collected $1.44 million for his third title on the PGA Tour. Stenson, 37, also won the second playoff event, the Deutsche Bank Championship, his first win on the tour since 2009.
