Arsenal Eyes Move for Schalke Defender, Express Says: Roundup

Arsenal Target

Arsenal could meet Schalke’s 11 million-pound ($17.5 million) asking price for Kyriakos Papadopoulous in the January transfer window, the Daily Express reported.

The 21-year-old Greek defender was linked with a move to Liverpool during the offseason, the Express said.

Lewandowski Talks

Manchester United and Chelsea could move for Robert Lewandowski after the Borussia Dortmund striker’s agent said he has held talks with Napoli, the Daily Express reported.

Lewandowski was thought to have all but confirmed a move to Bayern Munich, the Express added.

Diarra Comeback

Mahamadou Diarra could earn a new Fulham contract after making his comeback from a nine-month injury layoff, the Daily Mirror reported.

Diarra, 32, may get the last berth in coach Martin Jol’s 25-man squad, the Mirror said.

Bale House

Real Madrid’s Gareth Bale may buy Mesut Ozil’s 1 million-pound house in the Spanish capital, the Daily Mirror reported. Bale’s move to Real led to Ozil joining Arsenal.
