England Beats Australia by Three Wickets in One-Day Cricket Game

Sept. 14 (Bloomberg) -- England beat Australia by three wickets to even their one-day cricket series at one win each.

Jos Butler’s 65 not out helped England reach its target of 228 with three balls remaining in Cardiff. Michael Carberry scored 63 for England, which finished 231-7, while Clint McKay took 4-39 for Australia.

George Bailey scored 87 as Australia was bowled out for 227 in its innings. James Tredwell claimed three wickets for England, with Steven Finn and Boyd Rankin taking two each.

The five-game series concludes in two days in Southampton. Australia won the second match by 88 runs, while two other games have been rained out.
