Aug. 30 (Bloomberg) -- National Bank of Canada said it hired fixed-income bankers Steven Hashimoto and Sunil Bhutani from Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce.
National Bank added Hashimoto as director of government syndication and Bhutani as managing director and head of government finance and syndication, Claude Breton, a bank spokesman in Montreal, said in an e-mail.
Hashimoto was previously executive director of debt capital markets at CIBC, and Bhutani was managing director of the unit at the Toronto-based bank. They will be joining National Bank in Toronto on Nov. 1. CIBC is Canada’s fifth-biggest bank, while National is the sixth largest.
