Aug. 29 (Bloomberg) -- Beijing Enterprises Water Group Ltd. reported a 33 percent increase in first-half profit as earnings from water-treatment and construction services grew.
Net income rose to HK$514.3 million ($66 million) from HK$386.6 million a year earlier, the company said today in a filing to the Hong Kong stock exchange. Sales almost doubled to HK$2.76 billion.
Beijing Enterprises “maintained a steady growth in the first half,” the company said. Water-treatment and construction services together generated 96 percent of profit, up from 79 percent a year earlier.
