Aug. 12 (Bloomberg) -- Toronto-Dominion Bank hired Mario Mendonca to cover Canadian banks and insurers as two of the firm’s other analysts departed.
Mendonca, who left Canaccord Financial Inc. last week, will start Aug. 21 as a managing director and equities analyst for the TD Securities unit, Wojtek Dabrowski, a spokesman for the Toronto-based company, said today in a telephone interview.
Jason Bilodeau and Doug Young left TD Securities today, Dabrowski said. Bilodeau covered Canada’s eight biggest banks, while Young followed insurers and asset managers. Dabrowski declined to elaborate on the reason for their departures.
Bilodeau and Young didn’t immediately return phone calls seeking comment.
