BNP Paribas Names Laurence Mutkin Chief Interest-Rate Strategist

July 26 (Bloomberg) -- Laurence Mutkin, the former global head of interest-rate strategy at Morgan Stanley, will join BNP Paribas SA as chief interest-rate strategist, said Ashling Cashmore, a spokeswoman for the French bank in London.

Mutkin, 47, joined Morgan Stanley in 2006, according to data compiled by Bloomberg. Cashmore declined to comment on when he will join BNP Paribas.

The Wall Street Journal reported Mutkin’s new position yesterday.
