German Floods May Cost Insurers Up to $7.7 Billion, Modeler Says

Flooding in central Europe will cost insurers as much as 5.8 billion euros ($7.7 billion) tied to claims in Germany, modeling firm AIR Worldwide said.

The disaster cost at least 4 billion euros, the modeler said in a statement today.
