June 15 (Bloomberg) -- The Jeddah Phase 4 desalination unit on the Red Sea coast has resumed operations after a fire erupted on June 13, according to a statement today by the Saline Water Conversion Corp.
The fire was brought under control by firefighters and no casualties were reported. No shortage in water supplies has been detected and the city of Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, is being supplied with 1.2 million cubic meters of water daily, according to company spokesman Abdulaziz al-Mazroa.
