Keith Smith Joins Brookfield, TD Hires Mike Stuckey:Vlaad

May 31 (Bloomberg) -- Brookfield Asset Management Inc. hired Keith Smith as senior vice president in the private funds group from GE Asset Management Canada where he was president, according to Vlaad and Co., a Toronto-based financial services recruiting firm.

Other moves noted in the “Bill’s Buzz” weekly newsletter include: * TD Securities in Houston added Mike Stuckey as a managing director in its global energy and power group. Stuckey moved from BMO Capital Markets. * Wittington Investments promoted Joseph Walsh to vice president, treasury and investments. * Ashantie Burke joined Industrial Alliance Securities on the sales desk from Mackie Research. * Ironbridge Equity Partners hired Ali Akbar as a private equity associate from KPMG Corporate Finance, where he was an investment banking associate. * Jordan Fish joined Blair Franklin Capital Partners Inc. as an investment banking analyst from Nomura Securities. * JPMorgan Chase & Co. hired RBC Capital Markets intern analyst Scott Wong as an investment banking analyst. * Michelle Jennet moved to Goldman Sachs Group Inc. in Calgary as an investment banking analyst from UBS Securities LLC.
