Accused Marathon Bomber’s Friend Reaches Bail Deal With U.S.

May 6 (Bloomberg) -- Robel Phillipos, who is accused of lying to investigators after the marathon bombing, has reached an agreement on bail terms with federal prosecutors, according to an announcement from the Boston U.S. Attorney’s Office.

The bail terms, which haven’t yet been approved by a judge, would include $100,000 bond and home confinement, according to an e-mailed statement from the U.S. Attorney’s Office. A hearing is scheduled for today at 2 p.m. in Boston federal court.
