April 27 (Bloomberg) -- Manchester City beat West Ham 2-1 to strengthen its hold on second place in English soccer’s Premier League.
Sergio Aguero and Yaya Toure scored at the Etihad Stadium in Manchester as City moved eight points ahead of third-place Arsenal with four matches left. City, which relinquished its league title to Manchester United five days ago, has lost just once in 17 home games this season.
Andy Carroll scored in second-half stoppage time for West Ham, which remains 10th in the 20-team league.
