Allstate Says Catastrophes Cost $359 Million in First Quarter

Allstate Corp., the largest publicly traded U.S. home and auto insurer, said catastrophes cost the company $359 million before tax in the first quarter.

The sum includes $198 million from March, the Northbrook, Illinois-based company said today in a statement distributed by PR Newswire.
