April 15 (Bloomberg) -- SunTrust Banks Inc., Georgia’s biggest lender, said Blake P. Garrett and G. Gilmer Minor will retire from its board of directors this year.
Garrett, who has been a director since 2004, and Minor, who has served since 1998, have reached the board’s retirement age, Atlanta-based SunTrust said today in a statement.
Frank P. Scruggs, 61, has been nominated for election to the board, according to the statement. Scruggs is a partner at Berger Singerman LLP, a law firm in Florida, according to the statement. He was previously an executive vice president at Office Depot Inc.
